Brighton has completed the signing of Bristol City defender Adam Webster, for a club-record fee of £20m deal.

The 24-year-old joined from England championship side Bristol this summer and pen a four years contract deal with Brighton.

Webster signs for Bristol from Ipswich in the 2018 summer and made 43 appearances for the  Robins last season.

Brighton new coach Graham Potter said: Adam Webster is a world-class defender, comfortable on the ball and fits the profile of the player we desire to sign to this club.

He continues, saying Predominately a centre-half, he can also play at right-back, and he will induce additional competition alongside our existing defensive prospects.
