According to reports, Arsenal will intensify their efforts to capture Leeds United winger Raphinha the following week.
With Gunners manager Mikel Arteta being a Brazilian fan, the 25-year-old is a target for Edu in the transfer window. Further discussions with Raphinha’s agents are now planned, according to The Athletic, as Arsenal looks to increase their interest.
According to the source, Arsenal are currently the “clear favourites” to sign Raphinha. Barcelona, Chelsea, and Tottenham, who have apparently all expressed interest in the player, have all been severely harmed by the development
The winger previously turned down an offer from Arsenal, but the north Londoners are prepared to make another move next week. According to rumours, a price of about £65 million will be sufficient to entice the Brazilian away from Elland Road.
Raphinha, who made 36 appearances for Leeds last season and scored 11 goals, has previously been coy when asked about his future at Elland Road, saying that everything depends on his agency Deco and the club in Yorkshire. While representing Brazil internationally, he declared, “I have a contract with Leeds until 2024; my future is in Deco and Leeds.”

“The national team, the game, and my upcoming vacations are all on my mind. My agency takes care of this matter because I have a contract with Leeds. He will let me know when there is something.”
The announcement comes as Gabriel Jesus of Manchester City appears to be moving closer to joining Arsenal. The Brazilian international has been a priority for Arteta and will cost the Gunners £45 million, according to The Athletic. The Daily Mail, however, claims that the transaction will be completed in the next 7 to 10 days, in time for the club’s opening preseason game on July 8 against FC Nurnberg.
