Everton star Dominic Calvert-Lewin was fined and ordered to pay a £900 fine, £620 costs and a £90 surcharge today after being found guilty of speeding at 58mph at Chester Magistrates’ Court.
The England striker, who celebrates his 25th birthday tomorrow, did not appear at Chester magistrates court where his solicitor pleaded guilty on his behalf.
The maximum fine for the offence is £1,000 but Calvert-Lewin was given a 10 per cent deduction due to his guilty plea.
Calvert-Lewin did not feature for Everton during Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Wolves at Goodison Park.
The England international has endured an injury-hit season, with a broken toe and thigh issue keeping him out for large stretches. He has not scored since August, having managed 21 goals in all competitions in 2020-21.
Everton are 17th in the Premier League table, only one point clear of the relegation zone.
