Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag wants to know more about the situation surrounding Christian Eriksen and Frenkie de Jong’s possible transfers. According to Simon Stone, the Red Devils’ boss wants both issues to be settled before the Red Devils’ non-international players return on Monday, July 27.
Manchester United’s pursuit of the Danish international, though, is unrelated to their continued pursuit of De Jong this summer.

After previously working together at Ajax, Erik ten Hag has picked the 25-year-old Barcelona midfielder as his top transfer target. The Netherlands international, though, has yet to make a decision on his future and is presently on vacation.
Barcelona is said to be in desperate need of cash, and De Jong is regarded as one of the club’s most saleable assets.
Despite this, the Catalan club is said to have turned down a €60 million bid, preferring to hang out for about €100 million to complete a move away from the Nou Camp. The Red Devils are preparing an offer of roughly €80 million in response.
Marseille wants to sign Tottenham’superstar’ Gil on loan.
However, the asking price could be so high because Barcelona is interested in signing Bernardo Silva from Manchester City — yet another transfer merry-go-round.
While Christian Eriksen has the option of staying at Brentford or returning to Tottenham, it appears the Dane is “no longer eager on signing with a London-based club.”
The club has approached the 30-year-old, who is presently a free agent after initially signing a short-term deal with the Bees. Ten Hag is looking to rebuild the club’s midfield.
Eriksen’s quality is undeniable, and he, like De Jong, would give Manchester United’s midfield a far more solid look heading into the new season.
