Everton overcame Leicester City 2-1 on the road to climb out of the relegation zone after a hard-fought victory.
Everton took the lead thanks to a magnificent volley from Vitalii Mykolenko, but Leceister answered when Patson Daka tucked the ball past Jordan Pickford after Yerry Mina’s header landed in his path.
Mason Holgate scored from close range after Richarlison’s header was cleared off the line by Kasper Schmeichel after 30 minutes.
Pickford was the hero for the second weekend in a row as Everton held on for the majority of the second half.
The England goalkeeper produced two outstanding saves to deny Harvey Barnes, as well as hurling himself across goal to prevent Nampalys Mendy.
When the final whistle went, the travelling Everton fans applauded their team as they earned only their second away win of the season, giving them hope when relegation appeared all but certain just a week earlier.
Everton sit a point ahead of Leeds and Burnley, with a game in hand on both, with Watford up next on Wednesday.
