Marcelo Pitaluga, 19, joined the Reds from Fluminense Football Club in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in October 2020. He has now signed a season-long loan with Macclesfield FC in Cheshire, England.
According to the club’s official website, Pitaluga trained with the Liverpool senior squad during the 2021-22 season. However, he will use the 2022-23 season to gain senior playing time and experience.

Alisson Becker, Liverpool’s current goalkeeper, is regarded as the best in the world. Caoimhin Kelleher, his understudy, put in heroic performances last season to help Liverpool win four trophies. With Adrian on hand to help as needed, Pitaluga’s loan spell would be ideal for him to hone his skills.

Macclesfield FC will compete in Division One West of the Northern Premier League. It is the eighth division of English football. They won the North West Counties Football League Premier Division in 2021-22.
