Sadio Mane appears to have played his final game for Liverpool.
That’s correct. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Senegal international will leave Liverpool this summer after six trophy-laden years with this season’s Champions League finalists because he is “ready” for a new experience.
Mane, who joined Liverpool from Southampton for a reported £34 million in 2016, has been linked with a move to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
Admittedly, according to French outlet L’Equipe, the 30-year-old forward is close to signing a three-year contract with Julian Nagelsmann’s side.
Bayern Munich are expected to spend just €30 million (£25 million) to sign Mane, who has been a key member of Jurgen Klopp’s squad since joining on a five-year deal.
In addition to speculation about his transfer fee, Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has already met with Mane’s agent to express his club’s interest – and Mane has stated that Bayern is an appealing destination.

Mane’s future at Liverpool has recently been in doubt.
When asked about his future at the Premier League runners-up, he sparked rumours of a possible departure ahead of Saturday night’s Champions League final against Real Madrid.
“I think the question is very good, but it will be difficult for me to answer right now,” he said. “But I’m definitely focused on the Champions League. Ask me a question after the Champions League, and I will respond.”

Mane has scored 120 goals in 269 appearances for Liverpool since joining from Southampton in 2016, but it appears increasingly likely that he will leave Anfield to replace Robert Lewandowski at the Allianz Arena.

Sadio Mane’s agent confirmed in March that there were no ongoing talks about extending his contract at Liverpool.
“We talk a lot with Liverpool, but we’re not talking about a contract extension right now,” he told TFM Senegal. “We’re looking forward to the end of the season.”
