Brentford vs Southampton – Both Teams Score
Brentford were dragged crashing back down to earth last Monday when they were defeated 3-0 by Manchester United. Previously, the Bees had gone four games undefeated, winning three and drawing one.
Brentford are 14th in the table with 40 points from 35 games, just ahead of Southampton on goal difference.
Southampton, however, struggled to find their footing last time out, losing 2-1 at home to Crystal Palace.
The Saints are currently winless in three league games and have only one victory in their previous 10 games overall. Their troubles on defence have contributed to their terrible run. They have just preserved one clean sheet in their previous 11 games, allowing 26 goals.
Crystal Palace vs Watford – Crystal Palace wins
Crystal Palace will host relegation-threatened Watford at Selhurst Park Stadium in the Premier League.
The Eagles defeated mid-table Southampton last time out, with Wilfred Zaha scoring an injury-time goal to secure a 2-1. They have almost certainly guaranteed their spot in the top division this season and will try to improve on their 14th-place result from the previous season.
Meanwhile, Watford’s difficulties continued last week as they were defeated 2-1 at home by Burnley in a relegation fight. Manager Roy Hodgson has stated that he will leave the club at the end of the season, so it will be interesting to see whether he can get them out of the relegation zone before he departs.
Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspur – Over 2.5 Goals
Tottenham Hotspur are now fifth in the Premier League rankings and are fighting for a place in the Champions League this season. The visitors easily defeated Leicester City 3-1 last week and will have to fight hard to obtain a similar result in this game.
Liverpool, on the other side, is now second in the league table and has been outstanding this season. The Merseyside giants stunned Villarreal in their previous encounter and have a lot to show this weekend.
Real Betis vs Barcelona – Both Teams Score
Barcelona is now second in La Liga and has demonstrated development under Xavi. The Catalans cannot afford to lose their top-four spot and will need to perform admirably in this match.
Real Betis, on the other hand, is sixth in the league table and has played great this season. The Andalusian side was limited to a 0-0 draw by Getafe last week and will need to boost their game in this encounter.
West Bromwich vs Barnsley – West Bromwich wins
West Brom will play Barnsley in their last EFL Championship game of the season at the Hawthorns on Saturday.
Despite beating Reading in their previous game, Steve Bruce’s team are still a long way from making the playoffs. It’s been a frustrating season for them, especially given their strong start and how they were performing in the middle of the season. At one stage in November, they were level with Fulham, who went on to win the competition.
Barnsley have nothing to play for because they have already been demoted. In the division, they are on a four-match losing streak.
Bristol Rovers vs Scunthorpe United – Over 2.5 Goals
Bristol Rovers have a huge opportunity on Saturday, the last day of the League Two season, as they are presently fourth and on the same number of points as third-placed Northampton, with an automatic promotion position up for grabs.
Scunthorpe United visit Memorial Stadium this Saturday with their fate already decided, as the Irons will play in the National League for the first time in their history.
Good Luck
